Voroněž Is Doing Well

„Among our traditional clients are the visitors of Brno Exhibition Area and Brno Racing Circuit, and the so-called business clients, who are related to foreing investors who have built their plants in industrial zones around Brno. That is why we think that the periodic decrease of incoming tourists will not affect us,“ said Josef Kulíšek, director general of the renowned Voroněž Hotel in Brno, for Právo.

More investors are going to come to Brno, planning to extend the offer of luxurious 4-star and 5-star hotels.

„The hotel market in Prague is almost saturated. Hotel real-estate investors are seeking new opportunities and they have focused on Brno despite the fact that the local market is very peculiar and heavily dependent on the events of Brno Exhibition Area,“ said Jiří Fajkus, director general of Real Spektrum, for Právo.

„We have noticed that international chains are interested in Voroněž,“ admitted Kulíšek. He says that it makes sense and it is a confirmation that the hotel, having a traditional reputation on the local market, has kept its stable position. Whereas some Prague hotels have gone as far in fight for clients as low-season discounts, Voroněž has increased the number of its guests by 15 percent in 2 years.

Voroněž belongs to the Cimex Group, the largest Czech hotel owner. Miroslav Příkop, director general of Cimex, denied rumours by saying: „We think that Voroněž is one of our best strategic investments, and we do not consider selling it.“ Last year, the Cimex Group invested more than 40 million Czech crowns into their two hotels in Brno. This year, they intend to invest about as much again.
