Orea Hotels, the biggest Czech hotel chain, plans to expand abroad in association with Armando Hospitality Group from the USA
„We have founded a subsidiary company together. It should run hotels in several countries in Europe,“ said Zdeněk Šafařík, director of Orea Hotels.
As of now, Orea Hotels and Armando Hospitality Group are dealing with almost a dozen hotels in countries like Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, France and Bulgaria. Armando Hospitality Group Europe, the subsidiary company that has just been founded, is interested in franchises of big international hotel chains. „We have started dealing with Holiday Inn and InterContinental, for example,“ says Šafařík. To start the expansion, Orea Hotels have about a billion Czech crowns at their disposal. The newly-founded Armando Hospitality Group Europe has appeared on the government website (justice.cz) as early as in September. For the time being, the sole owner is the director of Orea Hotels.
„That is only temporary. In a few days there will be an up-to-date record on justice.cz saying that the Americans have a share,“ says Šafařík.
The Orea Hotels company operates the biggest Czech hotel chain. At present it runs more than thirty hotels across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company is a member of the Cimex concern.
Armando Hospitality Group is a company that provides mainly hotel business consulting. AHG finds solutions for hotel company owners, investors, developers as well as hotel leaseholders.
