The theme of this year’s event will be LES. This brings the festival back to a focus on natural materials, traditional production and environmental issues. The theme offers many possibilities of interpretation, including the forest as a temple of rest or a paradise for mushroom pickers. It can also be conceived as a haunted and magical fairytale place. How Czech filmmakers will deal with the topic 5. – 9. 10. 2022.

The main locations remain the same as last year. News of contemporary design in the formats of Superstudio and Openstudio can be found at Gabriel Loci in Smíchov, as well as the next edition of the Diploma Selection exhibition and the thematically tuned Designéria. A special view of traditional Czech manufacturers can be enjoyed in the main building of the Museum of Decorative Arts. The exhibition there was also given the characteristic theme of PRALES, which is perceived as a complex complex of the roots of the Czech design environment. In addition to the Family Silver exhibition and a floor dedicated to artists emphasizing quality craftsmanship, there will be a special presentation of Art House collectible design. This time it will be presented through an intervention in the collections of the UPM’s historical glass.
